Modern Slavery Statement

Phillips Sutton are a UK based firm of chartered surveyors and commercial property consultants providing agency, investment and development advice in the commercial property sector. This statement relates to the actions and activities during the financial year 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022.

At Phillips Sutton we are committed to ensuring that we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This is an Act to make provision about slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and about human trafficking, including provision for the protection of victims; to make provision for an Independent Anti-slavery Commissioner; and for connected purposes.

Slavery within corporate supply chains conflicts with running a responsible business and At Phillips Sutton we have a zero tolerance to modern slavery and human trafficking. To ensure we are compliant we conduct due diligence on all new Clients, Tenants and Purchasers.

We are focused on educating our employees to keep up to date on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and have created a safe space and environment where we encourage whistleblowing.

Given the nature of the work that we do, the type of the goods and services that we procure and the UK base of our operation, we judge our risk to be low, but will continue to focus on improving our policies and procedures so that any potential risk can be quickly identified.

At Phillips Sutton we are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our Business or supply chains. We ensure there is a high level of education around the Act and have a zero tolerance for working with anyone who is not in accordance with this.
